Practicums IV - V

Introduction

In this website you'll find the different parts of two porfolios about my internship in FL school, one of them related to Practicum IV and the other one related to Practicum V.

​

Practicum IV consists of four intensive weeks, in which I've attended the school for five days, and fifteen extensive weeks, in which I've attended the school only on Tuesdays. This first part of the internship is based on the practice as a generalist teacher, so I've been in all kind of lessons from different subjects and with different teachers, although only one of them was my mentor.

​

Practicum V consists of four intensive weeks too, and eleven extensive ones. The difference between practicums IV and V is that, during this last part of my internship, I have been practicing as an English specialist teacher. My mentor has been one of the school's English specialists and I have only been attending English lessons in different groups of students of different ages.

- Class group: the description of the group which I have been with during those months

- Teaching unit: the explanation of a teaching sequence designed by me, which is the one I've implemented with my students from the school

- Materials: a set of multimedia materials related both to the class and school and to the teaching sequence I've implemented

​

- Reflection: the personal diary I've been writing everyday during those months and the personal reflection I've made both about my implementation and about my first stay in FL school

- Practicum V: this portfolio includes the following parts:

- My great resourcethe explanation of an interesting resource for the English classroom

 

- Observation task: a description of some teaching strategies for different purposes that I have observed during my internship

​

- Classroom language: a task about the language that an English teacher needs in the class for the different objectives he or she can have

​

- Class group: description of the students' group which I have implemented my Practicum V's teaching unit with

​

- Teaching unit: description of the teaching unit I designed and implemented during my Practicum V as an English specialist

​

- Report TU: reflection and evaluation of the implementation of the teaching unit

​

- Co-teaching: description of a co-teaching session designed by a classmate and me to be implemented in both her school and mine

​

- Report CT: reflection about the co-teaching session design and implementation in both schools and peer-assessment of my colleague's performance 

​

- Digital trends: compilation of some useful technological tools to be used by teachers and/or students in the English class

​

- Peer evaluation: assessment grid of the teaching unit from one of my classmates

​

- Reflection: final general reflection about Practicum V and my future as a teacher

​
