The level in which I am doing the internship is 1st grade of elementary education. As the school has three lines, I am concretely in 1st A. The tutor of this class group is called Imma, and she's the one who is always with the group except in the Spanish, Maths, Music and PE lessons.

The group is formed by 28 students, more or less half boys and half girls. In general it's a really active group, which sometimes is good but other times not at all. They are still used to pre-school and it's really difficult for them to behave well in the classroom. The class is usually really noisy and it's hard to get them in silence and concentrated. It's a really active group.

The relationships between students are most of them positive, and it's not a troublesome group in that sense.

Regarding special cases that should be mentioned, one of them stands out: RG. He is a quite disruptive boy who suffers from ODD (Opositional Defiant Disorder) and, because of that, he doesn't understand limits and rules. He always wants to do what he really wants, and if he can not do it he looses his mind. He starts bothering his classmates, making a scene,  trying to put you on the limit... It's really difficult to deal with him. He takes medication for his behavioral and psychological disruption but, even though, he doesn't get better. He is being treated by a psychologist out of the school, who is detecting his disorder. When he is in the classroom, he doesn't sit on his chair. He walks around the classroom, talking with some classmates, picking up some games or books, drawing... But it's really difficult to get him do what he should do. It's a truly disruptive kid and it's really hard for teachers to deal with him. Even when they try to tell him off or punish him, it's difficult because he uses his force against them. For example, if they want to bring him to another class as a punishment, he lays on the floor so that the only thing teachers can do is dragging him or carrying him on their arms. Nevertheless, he is an extremely intelligent kid in comparison with the other classmates. He can probably be an exceptionally gifted kid, but he uses his intelligence only in the way he wants, as for example objecting what teachers tell him.

Apart from RG, there aren't any other kids who disrupt the class in that sense, but there are students who have more difficulties than usual.

DG is a girl who was almost deaf until last year, so she couldn't learn to speak at the proper time to do so. They could solve that problem one year ago and then she started hearing and listening everything around her, so now she speaks but she has a lot of difficulties with some sounds or at the time to write, because it's really hard for her to distinguish or differentiate sounds. That makes her go behind their classmates, specially in the areas where languages are more involved.

MR is another boy who has some difficulties. He hasn't got any concrete problem, but he is usually distracted and if there isn't anyone there by his side and pushing him he starts to work when the rest has almost finished. However, he is really good at artistic areas, so when artistic abilities are involved in the activity he does not have any problem.

Finally, SM is another boy who presents some ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) signs, but he hasn't got the disorder fully detected. He goes behind his classmates beause of his difficulties but also because it's really difficult for him to concentrate and work on something during a long time.

In general, as I've said before, it's a really active group and they are difficult to control. Some of them are exessively childish yet, while others have already matured a bit more. Nevertheless, the changes between the beginning of the course and now are noticeable.
